Hello,

finally I am on the way to assemble my 69 RR. Too bad that at some point during restauration I obviously gave my master with the pushrod to the wrecker.
Since I am in Germany, I need to get it cheap. I can get a single master from a 66 charger to part it out. Does the pushrod has the same length then my original pushrod from the 69 dual master?
Appreciate any advice.
Best regards

Mario

you can get an adjustable push rod . check the ends as there might be a difference in the way it bolts up. the kit i got had multiple ends to bolt to peddle.

did you look at the for sale parts on hear ? someone may be parting out a car and have what you need.

Are you putting in and doing an OE correct restoration? If not there are other avenues for you to explore.

Ie: aluminum 2 bolt master upgrade with adjustable pushrod. There are a few vendors for this but I could recommend dealing with Doctor Diff in Polson Montana. He’s quick to ship and can get you fixed up in a jiffy.

Do not use a single master cylinder. Not safe. Dual only way to go. Many people make kits for this. Wilwood etc

It wasn't clear from the original post if he was asking about the push rod, the master or both?
But ANY CAR you intend to drive should have a dual master.

He’s just looking for a pushrod and was wondering if one from a single master would work. And then said any advise is appreciated. Which is why I offered up the aluminum master upgrade info. I’m sure he intends on using a dual master either way.

I have a new dual master. My problem is that I threw the old one away already. So I don't have the pushrod anymore. Adjustable pushrod is sure the best way. But it's around 80$ over here. I got an used defect single master to part out.
The question was if the pushrod from the 1966 single is the same length than from the 1969 dual?

You can take a look online at Brewers Performance for pushrods. Not sure exactly what your looking for, but they might have something that’s a stock part. At least for me, I’ve encountered two problems with the Mopar adjustable pushrod P4510640; the circular end at the brake pedal is too small for the stock bolt and second the end for the aluminum master is too large and doesn’t go in far enough for the retaining ring to engage the recess groove. I just use my stock pushrod. http://www.brewersperformance.com/products.php?cat=279

I got used 66 single master to part out. The pushrod is exactly same. I took it out and put it in my new dual master. The bolted on stopper fitted exactly. The brake light switch situation is original. Worked out very nice. But thank you for your help.

Get ahold of Cass at Dr Diff. He should be able to help you out.
