Marijuana Addiction is Real

The only way I see it being really accepted is if everyone knows the benefits and the consequences of using it. It's not treated like alcohol or cigarettes. People know what alcohol does to a person, and the same is true with cigarettes with the recent ad campaigns that started the last 10 years. When we see the same with weed, it might be more accepted and commonplace.

I smoked it for over 30 years hardcore. Pretty much like cigarettes. Quit one day out of the blue. Cold turkey. No issue. same with cigarettes, 40 years though. I am not for legalization, but it's too late in Canada. The tax grab will begin. It was down to a minor offence and was just fine. Now, those who smoke regularly, will be subject to driving conditions as those who are just beginning and actually get high from smoking it. The funny part, they voted for it. Now it will have consequences similar to alcohol. Be it good or bad. I can speak from my experience. When you smoke regularly, you don't get high, you just get the having it effect. Just like cigarettes.

smoke every day that I have it :fool: have done so for getting on for 40 years . its all good, you do it after work

For me I find this debate neither good nor bad. It's about "choices." Good or bad it is an individual choice. That being said, I find the worse "vice/addiction", has to be Tobacco and smoking of it. Yep I am one of those reformed Tobacco users that hates it more and more each day. I cannot stand the smell of it and being around it. I live in Reno NV now and thank God not in Las Vegas. I don't do the gambling or Casino thing but I do enjoy the food that is offered at a lot of them. When you fist walk in, BBBBAAAAMMMM!!!! The air is full of smoke from them sticks. People huffin and puffin as they give their hard earned $$$ to the House. It should be outlawed as it is by far the worse of the smokables. I do not include the Crack, Cocaine, and Meth smoking because that is an addictive hard core drug usage and addiction. Killers they are and so is Tobacco. But for MJ...I use it for its intended use...stimulate my senses for food and appetite, helps alleviate by back issues so I can sleep...60% VA disabled...and general recreational usage at ones home. I have no problem with it as it is a product of growing up in the '60's. Today's strains are far different and superior to what we had back then so moderation is the key. Bottom line for me is I do not give a Rat's Pattotie whether one approves or not, or should be legalized or not. Laws have been passed by individual States to allow it legally. Voted on by the voters. It takes the sneakiness away when it is illegal to using it because now anyone that wants a bit, can go to a dispensary, and by what they want. Don't have to rely buying on the street or through Friends that can obtain regularly through any means. As the sayin' goes...You Do What You Do, and I Do What I Gotta Do or Want To...Is there any other way???cr8crshr/Tuck:bananaweed::bananaweed::bananaweed::usflag::usflag::usflag::fool::fool::fool:

Typically I see 2 types of regular weed smokers,

One type smokes and becomes more focused on the task at hand. The other type smokes and will watch flowers grow. Ive seen good and bad on both sides. As for canada, I'm here and yes worried about the tax grab and new revenue source for tickiting everyday smokers. Then worried about the youngins buying a case of beer and a bag of weed for the first time at the local liquor store and not realizing that mixing the 2 can be very dangerous.
