Mark Worman Wrong Again?

I was watching tonight's episode of Graveyard Carz, and one of the bumper questions was what year was the first year for the purple roadrunner horn. Worman said it was 1969, and the reason it wasn't purple with the Voice of the Roadrunner decal in 1968 was because Warner Brothers hadn't approved the use of a full color Roadrunner decal in 1968.

According to Jack Smith, it was Dick Macadam, the styling director at Chrysler Plymouth and chief opponent of the Roadrunner effort who picked the black and white Roadrunner decals because he wanted the decal to look as bad as possible, and that had nothing to do with any restrictions from Warner Brothers.

Also, Plymouth used a color Roadrunner decal on the steering wheel center an in advertising for the 1968 Roadrunner, so I'm thinking once again... Mark Worman is wrong.

all of those car reality tv shows make me gringe. seems to me that most "know it all's" weren't present when the muscle car thing was happening so hearsay is passed down as truth. if your not in your '60's, then you weren't there.
And then you have to rely on 45+ years of memory and most 60+ year old car freaks suffer with a bad case of CRS after suffering hearing loss from too much loud rock and roll, open headers and guns! And yeah I one of them :D

The funniest thing I have ever seen on that show was the package addressed to Mark Woman.

People who proclaim themselves to be experts usually are not.

Yeah, but Hemi Guy... Worman is constantly saying how he is perfect. And who waits two seconds to call out anyone on this forum, or anyone else on TV or in the media, when they write or say something that is incorrect? Why should Worman be treated any differently?

I think a lot of this is Mark Worman "playing the bad guy" to get "folk like us" to comment on the show
(Him being perfect , his antics, etc)
Hey; it works!

Oh come-on guys leave the man alone he's getting old and senile like most of you!
If you don't like what I said p.m. me I'll send you my address ,you bring as much alcohol as you can and your favorite pistol we can settle it like men ,
We drink till the alcohol is gone then we duel! If we both miss we leave as drinking buddy's if I shoot you I'm right if you shoot me I'm wrong easy as that !
So far I've been right or can hold my alcohol better then everyone else not sure yet!

Cool!
I personally LOVE the show
Great cars
Good stuff, for me at least
I drink "ONE" kind of beer....
No Foo Foo silly strawberry Pumpkin Ale, Misty Lemon Ale, SHOCK-TOP, or Sam Adams or "a little Fat Tire" stuff...
(I put that on my morning cereal bowl)

If I drink wine, it needs to taste good, no I am not into fancy labels...

As far as my taste in TV CAR Shows, I personally enjoy Grave Yard Carz the best!

Yes, it is entertainment

I drink wild turkey! That's it it's like water to me now

Graveyard cars, Its entertainment that's all. if your watching for an education on Mopars forget it. I would say start crackin the books.we should be grateful there's a show about our cars in the first place. Maybe it will inspire some young guns watching to get involved with our beloved choice of muscular transportation and carry the torch instead of dickin around with them there video games.;-)

I personally like the format of Bitchin' Rides,
you can still have humor with out looking like a total dickweed
or "alleged" know it all narcissist...
That has seemed to had 1/2 the stuff outsourced now...

It's better than the past seasons !!
& yes I've seen every damn lame episode too,
it's always DVR'd usually, so to be able to fast fwd thru Mark's total BS
IMO if not for being about cool Mopars !!,
not all his product placements freebies BS, 60 min. commercials,
I would never have watched a second episode, let alone several seasons now...

Tony's was a night surprise on the show...

I'd like to see it be better, it's not a great show "YET",
IMO by any stretches of anyone imagination
& it is the only Mopar specific show,
that's the only reason I watch "at all even", is my love for Mopars
doesn't mean I will worship Mark or GYC's because of it either...

I do like Royal, it seems he's the only GYC's guy who just works...

wish they'd watch a few episodes of wheeler dealers and learn how to do a car show

I like bitchen rides too. dave needs a haircut tho ! I record gyc because of the mopars, but they seem to be reruns again here. fast forward button gets used a lot ! JUST, to thro a wrench in the works--A good friend of mine bought a brand new, 1966 chevy 2 w/ a 365 horse 327, 4 speed in it, off the show room floor in 1966. it had round, " roadrunner decals" on the front fenders! the dealer said it came that way. you might not believe it , and I don`t care, but it`s a true story. that dam car was totally wicked, couldn`t touch the ground w/ the tires back then ! he later traded it for a new 1967 gtx. he worked as an xray technician on the pipeline and had money to burn. no brag, just fact!

I get tired of all the twitter alert tones BS on Bitchen Rides though. Geez....beeping out all the cuss words and now we got to listen to all the twitter noise too. I'm ready for baseball season to start back up lol

I gave up watching any car shows a while ago, I have learned to despise them all.

everything is a joke and a party, or some ridiculous deadline...... and they never show the guys who possess the real talent, the ones who perform all the miracles turning junk into jewels.

I doubt any of these reality show shops would be profitable without the TV network paying the bills

Truth is....... nothing is further from reality, than a reality car build show
