I converted my front drums to disc on my 66 Satellite. However, I didn't change the stock master cylinder . I have a spongy peddle now and have checked the reservoir level and bled the brakes. Still having the same issue. Some friends say I need to go to a dual master cylinder and proportional valve to eliminate the problem. Anyone know if this is true ? The conversion kit came from Jegs ( SSBC ) and was a complete system less the master cylinder.

You need a disc/drum master. Get rid of the drum/drum master.

Is this disc/drum master a ' power ' unit ? Are these hard to find ? Thanks for the reply.

If you have a booster now get one for booster application. You can find both setups. If you don't have a booster, get one for manual brakes. And get the proportioning valve for disc/drum setup.

Shouldn't be hard to find one.
