I have a OEM 413 max wedge heads, intake exhaust manifolds.
I have what I believe is the 3 speed manual from from 62 MW car.
A 745 if I’m correct?
I have several 413 motors to choose from.
61,62 and 64 imperial motors
What should I know about putting this top end on a standard 61-64 413?
I know about 8 bolt on 61 motor.
I would want to use 61 motor as it’s going into a 61 Belvedere.
I’m told I can change crankshaft to match post 61.
My main question is would I be OK to use a original MW top end on a standard passenger car motor?

On a 426 or 440, should be fine.
On a 413 block, you will need to cut reliefs into the top of the bores to clear the max 1.88 exhaust valves. I think factory 426 maxes got reliefs too.
You might be able to sonic check the block, and bore the 413 .0625 to standard 426. That way you might not need to cut the reliefs.
Either way, pistons will be expensive/hard to find, if yours aren't suitable.

Edit: are you planning on using the 61 three speed? If so, I have no experience with that, other than if you do change cranks (they will interchange) be sure you check that the crank is drilled for the input shaft of the trans.
2nd edit: I think the heavy duty max three speed was a BW T-85, not a Mopar trans.

If you desire the aluminum Torque Flite you must have the 62 up crankshaft. The earlier crank is extended to allow the converter studs to fit thru the crankshaft flange to accept the fastener nuts. It is a less desirable setup and less durable.
