I'm almost done getting the body on my '68 Satellite straight enough for paint. For a while I was thinking of going with silver, BC/CC.. but, now I'm thinking it would probably look very cool in olive drab green with black wheels. I plan to do the painting in my garage, which also makes me worry about dust etc. in the bc/cc job, that might be less noticeable in a matte color. That, and being easier to touch up.

Anyone painted their car in a non-black flat or matte color, thoughts?

I just finished doing the lower third of the body and the full roof on my '85 GMC 2500 pickup in a desert camo scheme using the RustoLeum ultra-flat camoflage paints. They spray well and dry quickly. The GMC had all of the original lower mouldings removed by the PO and theat looked kinda crappy, so I masked it off and shot the roof and the lower body panels...not bad for a ol' hooptie truck!

I used Rust-o-Leum spray bombs in ultra-flat black, khaki, light desert green, forest green, and desert tan. Maybe thirty dollars worth of paint.
