Milwaukee Packout System?

Anyone using the Milwaukee Packout System? Thoughts, likes, dislikes?

I am looking at it to organize my electrical tools, connector, wires and such.

Have you looked at the price of the Milwaukee Packout? They are not cheap.

Love the heck out of it. I get tons of compliments, and it really speeds up the job, on the condition you take everything with you on the first or second trip.

The radio is a blast to have. I call it the party box. Coworkers love it.

The faults are:

It's expensive: it's a pain having to stack and unstack to get to all your tools and materials; it's very easy to overload your boxes; makes your tools easier to steal; coworkers will call you obcessed if you have too many.

Recommendation: Wait till the holidays to buy.

My son is in the house construction work and we got him started in the pack out boxes one Christmas a few years ago
He uses them all the time
Just grab whatever set of boxes he needs for the days job and good to go
Also never leaves home with out the Milwaukaee radio

I did buy the whole system - the radio last year and have barely used it. Most of the power tools that are in the stack have never been used.
It would be great if I were going out to job sites.
I continually go to my 3 shop tool boxes for what ever I need at home.
So if you are going to job sites it would be great.

I have the two wheel cart with 4 sections of drawers. I load it in and out of my van very day always over loaded. 3 years on the job love it!

My boxes are in the cab of my truck, or inside my place, and in order of most important on top. Don't always need the full stack, and don't always need all the boxes in the truck. I only carry what I need, thus I'm always carrying the least amount of boxes.

When I get to the jobsite, I uncover the base box, rolling drawer or rolling box first, then upon removal, just stack the boxes on top, in reverse order of importance, then the top only accessories, and roll into the site. Spread out the boxes when on site. The pain of the system is when I'm doing a small project that doesn't require all my tools, and I need something on the bottom of the stack when it's loaded in the truck. I have to basically unload the truck to get to that particular box.

Also, if you work in a questionable area, or with questionable people, you may want to invest in locks and cables to secure everything for when you walk out of sight of your tools.

vast amounts of options to add, & mobility
most of Milwaukee stuff isn't made in the USA anymore either,
mostly all foreign sourced/made in China now (check it out, it's an easy search)
if you care about that ?

& I suspect some bots doing the rating/reviewing too
but the stuff I've seen is nice

If I was still in the facility management business,
I'd probably own a few too, I was a tool junky
not big on made in China at all, so I'd be reserved on purchases
&
I have a lot of the older Milwaukee tools, the USA made stuff,
I would take in to a project, piled on a hand truck, easy moving, in their metal cases
& most all still works after 30-40 years

the Milwaukee cordless stuff (is made in China), it is nice for convenances
PITA with all the batteries crap, but seem to be decent tools

don't know here the plastic boxes are made, but not the USA

I haven't purchased much of the new foreign/outsourced made stuff
since I've retired, no need I have more tools then I can ever use already...
I can't comment on them but have used a few, they seem to be well made...
I just don't like the where they come from part...
I'm a pretty staunch pro-buy American, so you can see...

doesn't mean they are bad

do your due diligence, try them check them out
see it in action, see how heavy & pricing etc., then decide, before you buy

Packout is made in Isreal, by the same manufacturer as several other plastic tool boxes

Started researching this and found there are may other systems like this.
The Packout seems to be very popular with alot of aftermarket support and even compatable knock-off that are supposed to work with the system
I looked at the two wheel cart, as I don't have a cart but could use one once in awhile.
Maybe if I decide to go with these boxes, I could get the cart at a later date.

Most of my tools and large toolboxes are at my home, but I'm usually wrenching at my friends shop, so I'm always moving tools around.
I also like my tools organized. I hate wasting time searching for tools.

I like my Milwaukee packout, works great for what I need it for. I'm not a professional contractor or anything. I use the big roller for my saw and drill, another on top full of screws and nails.

We had them for work. Nice for jobs where you have to be mobile. You can buy cheaper knock offs that do the same thing. I have the cheapest for my garage. I don’t care if they say Milwaukee or not.

Thank. Just diving into this and found there are many versions.
I am looking to organize a bunch of electrical / electronic tools. MultiMeters, Oscilloscope, crimpers, strippers, terminals, wire, shrink tubing, heat gun, soldering station, helping hands, and such. Right now I have the stuff all over the house, garage, and at a friends garage.
I spend more time searching for tools then getting any actual work done.
Took me a couple days to find my soldering station. When I took it and some other tools to Pauls shop, I put them in a cardboard box that was closed, and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure where I put that stuff

with the 2 sided hinged tops, nice handles,
of tops in different colors, so I could know at a glance which bin I wanted
mark with a Sharpe on the front or end,
for like $15-$25 ea. Home Depot or Lowes, or any big box stores
then buy a few specific organizer bins, with multiple lil' storage seperators to put lil' stuff
or bits, blades, wire nuts, spades & male female connectors etc. in them
tools on top & paraphernalia in the lil' organizers on the bottom
or on one side, heavier stuff/***. tools on the other

It wasn't that expensive & save me & my 14 man crew, 14 service trucks
gathering crap out of my warehouse daily for specific jobs,
it saved a tone of time
easily stacked like 4 on-top of each other, bring it/them in on a hand-truck
easy peasy, not break the bank

I have several of the clear plastic containers with the hinged lids for storing some stuff, but the bottom of one broke out.

Have one for 1/4", another for 5/16", one for 3/8" and one for 1/2" hardware (only good stuff, ARP or grade 8.)
Have others for misc stuff like core plugs, fittings, hose clamps, and such.
I don't have much metric hardware, but starting to get to the point where I might need to organize metric stuff.

I was replacing the front bumper on my 2012 Kia Optima that was in a crash several years ago, and the shop that repaired it did not replace all the bolts, screws, and such with factory correct parts, so I bought factory hardware, but some of the orders were minimum of 10 or such when I might only need 2, so will have good leftover parts.
