I was wondering if on a '69 Roadrunner there were any seat back bumpers on a split bench seat equipped car. I have two metal posts that sit together on the outside of each side of the bench but nothing on them. Also if I were missing my headrest bezels, which I know can be bought aftermarket, would anything else possibly missing that I would need? I saw the rebuild kit for the headrest bezels in Classic Industries catalog but I'm not sure if I'm missing all that stuff since my headrests seem to operate smoothly. There are two holes in the metal frame that I can see seem to be were the screws for the bezels go. Thanks for any info and hopefully nothing I still need to do require the seat covers to be off because I've already installed them.

I'm pretty sure the Roadrunners came with bucket seats. Either someone replaced them with a bench seat at some point and you have left overs from the original buckets, or you have a Satellite Roadrunner clone. Probably the former. My '73 Satellite has that split bench seat you're talking about. Nothing more to the head rests other that 2 bezels each and 4 screws each...Wait...these posts you mentioned; I'm having a hard time picturing them. Do they come out of the seat or floor? Horizontal? Vertical? Mine has posts coming out horizontally. It is where the seat backs latched on and locked in the upright positions. With neat little buttons up high on the side of the seat back to unlatch and put the seats forward. This sound right to you? If not post pics.

Roadrunners came with both bench and bucket seats. My car is definitely an original RM23 Roadrunner not a Satellite. The metal posts I'm talking about stick out of the bottom lower side of the bench seat just behind the seat adjustment knob I'm just not sure if there should be a plastic bump stop on there or is the post from the seat back and lower seat supposed to just contact each other metal to metal.
