Molotow Liquid Chrome

I can’t get anything shipped free. I tried to order from Canada, they wanted CAN$44.00 postage to mail three pens 500 miles. Got them off of eBay from a place in the ‘States and postage was CAN$18.00. Go figure.
If you need more, we have a couple of good Hobby Stores here.

I need to remove the lens. The lens is held in by melted posts.. I guess just dremel them off and then re do it with hot glue when polishing is done.

This is sticky backed chrome wrap experiment. Needed work it into crevices.wid10.jpg wid11.jpg

All good news.

66/67 is notorious for the chrome wearing off the cluster and glove box door.

Way worse than almost any other generation.

If you're using stick on (IE bare metal foil etc) how are you dealing with the joints/seams.

Got the pens in last night. I should have done a before and after.... but my dash had almost no chrome left on the cluster..... so after cleaning this is the first pass. The LED light does not do is justice.....if the sun comes out I'll get the glint off it.....but its works awesome

Very interesting....but how tough is it? Can you easily rub it off once applied or it it pretty solid? Could you put it somewhere that you are constantly touching or brushing past without it pealing off? Inside use only I guess?

I made some decent contact with it.... but I doubt it will hold up like the chrome of old.....might just have to treat it nice

Its not chrome and shouldn't be expected to be chrome. Its just an easy way for guys who don't have hundreds to shell out to have one re-chromed. Is it chrome? No Is is shiny. Yup... But is it like real chrome? No its freaking paint. But does a decent job of mimicking chrome. I guess you can say its more for the Daily driver guys. Its not going to win and points at a Car show.
