Monmouth IL cruise night

Monmouth,IL has a big cruise night Aug 5th.I think 5-10pm.The wife&I usually go about 4:30-5.Just wondered if anybody from the forum was going,thought maybe get together drive over &visit,I'll be there in my 64 Polara,wife might take her 66 Satellite.

This event is large,they say 1000 cars.It seems like it too.Band,food,and alot Fred Gibbs race car history.Hope to see some FBBO people from the area.

There were like 2500 cars last year and come hell or high water we will be there! The wifey got that day off work so we will prolly blast by your house on the way over. I will get ahold of you thursday night.

I plan on being there. I need to do some tuning on the car but if I get it running right then I will be taking my 65 Corone. Hope I can get it fixed because I missed last years.

Great Event

My cousin is going and wanted us to go...I couldn't get the time off work. Sounds awesome though, maybe next year we can go. If you are going to be in Burlington I suggest going to Snake Alley, we have went the last two years in September and it makes some cool pictures.

He will driving the Viper Red '65 GTO on the top, in the 2nd picture.

Okay I'll look for Red 65 GTO Mitch.Yea Snake is one of my girls favorites places!I've taken all 3 of them thru it on Harleys&in the 63 Fury.Hope you get there Brian.I'll park on east or west side of the square.I like it cuz its an easy out when I'm ready to split.Call when your close Curt.

Is there actually a car show/ cruise there? If so when is it?

A group of us drive over to Burlington (about 1 to 1.5 hour drive) and go to the Pzazz Car Show at the Catfish Bend Casino in September. Heartland Rod & Custom does the show on Sunday September 25th, then after the show we go to Snake Alley (about 15 min. away from the show) and take pictures of our cars, then usually go to Big Muddy's down on the river to eat out. Big Muddy's is an old train freighthouse that has been turned into a restaurant, very cool old building and pictures. We look forward to this every year, alot of fun. The first year we went the Alley was closed and one of the local cops opened it for us (some cops are not to bad).

Here are some pics of the Cruise night. Most are Mopars but I like the odd/different also. I counted 35 new Camaro's It made me sick.
