I gave up on trying to set up this Suregrip. I put it all back together with crappy results.
Gear whine off the throttle and both wheels wont even spin freely on the jack stands. So I found a completely rebuilt to my specs 489,suretrac and 3:23 gears on ebay. I called the guy in Loveland Colorado and he was kind enough to take the call on a Sunday. I ordered the setup and it should be here Friday or Saturday. I am simply tired of pulling this thing in and out. I just want to be done with it. So I assume I will be posting the failed suregrip for sale. I would suggest a complete rebuild. I apparently do not know how to build them lol. So It has new clutches all new ring bolts and all new case bolts. Something got boogered up during the build and I am done messing with it.
Its a 489 case new DrDiff kit was installed. New clutches new bolts 3:23 gears etc etc.. Anyhow I just wanted to get this guys name out there if it already isn't. Very cool guy and they have been doing mopars for over 40 years.
