I was told many many years ago from the owner of one of those cars(good friend at the time) that the HP2 that the little placard on the fender meant, Hemi, phase two, as it was the second phase of the Hemi engine. first being the race engine, second being the street engine. it makes as much or more sense than the other explainations I have heard. he bought the car from the first owner, factory racer Paul Lance. the car was a gift from Chrysler, he altered the wheel base in 65 and pretty much ruined the car, his match races went to shet and the last I heard, the car had been crushed for scrap. sad! Dave. PS the aluminan race car was a 64 plyHi
