Anyone been able to get their hands on any of the BB trick flow heads yet? Where did you get them and your thoughts on them?

Yes they are out and a customer has received a pair and is having them shipped today to our shop to be evaluated.

Waiting on your reports
Thanks in advance
Bruce

I was hoping you would get a pair so you could give us your take on them. Thank you.

it will be interesting to find out the improvements.

I have a set of closed chamber heads we opened up with the 400 valves 35 years ago so when I re do the motor I should just grab a set of these
By the time I have hard seats and rebuild I am almost up to these better heads

All good info so far.

Just wondering what the 400 valves are? Like from 452 heads?

I am anxious to see how well these trick flow heads compare to the Stealths or Eddie Perf RPM

The 516 heads had 1.60 ex valves and my 346 400 heads had 1.74 ex
So I think the trick flows are almost cost effective when you look at it for cost and performance

I received mine earlier last week. They're beautifully engineered. I was a bit disappointed with the machining of the faces where the rocker covers sit as there was some pits from the casting material still evident. Had to change the springs because their springs are a bit heavy for my application. On another note, the machine shop informed me that the titanium spring caps have a tendency to get gouged by the damper springs so I installed the springs, caps and keepers I had previously bought to achieve the right open/closed pressure for my particular cam. I'll be running solid roller lifters so it is very important to have the right spring pressures. Any one want a set of Trick Flow springs and keepers? I will say that anyone buying these heads will have no porting to do either on the intake or exhaust side - they're already done and very well I might add.

Just a heads up they require a little different rocker to get the right geometry. IQ52 told me to order Harland sharp S70015KE (1.5 ratio) S70016KE (1.6 ratio) I'm going with the 1.6's

Where are these available? I can't find a listing for them

I e-mailed them as I have some rockers already and wanted to know if they will work.. Otherwise, I might have some roller rockers to sell.
