Anybody going? I’m tagging along with friends who will be racing a ‘67 Barracuda and ‘68 Dart. This will be my first time at Moparty so I’m really looking forward to it…

Barring any further setbacks like checking on my trailer at storage and finding the brakes aren't working, I plan to be there. My club Chicagoland Mopar Connection car club has a group going, and many of us are staying at the Marriot. I hope to get there in time to attend the Thursday cruise at Martin CDJR.

Can you tell me more about the Thursday cruise? We should be there by early afternoon if everything goes well.

I've attended the cruise several times in past years and it's very good, they have been getting 100+ cars and have several food trucks on site.
Here is something I found on their FB page:

Leaving Lino Lakes mid-morning
Lino! Hell, we’re practically neighbors! What car you bringing? Loaded late last night, trying to depart around 10:00 or so this morning. Moulin Rouge ‘Pink Ribbon’ Road Runner. Swing by and say hi!

I don’t have a picture of Warren’s Barracuda, it’s a 67 notch back, blue with a white stripe and white gut. Danny’s 68 Dart is A4 silver with a red stripe and red gut.

Picked up my rental trailer this afternoon since the brakes aren't working on mine, cars loaded, so far so good just a 400+ mile run down I-65 to get there!

Great show, and was my first time there

I'll be back for sure. With or without the car is subject I'll discuss in a few months once th epain of this trip is done

Almost 3500 miles round trip. Lots and LOTS of gas and hotel costs. makes it painfull

But now back home ( rolled in my driveway about 6pm last nite )

I hate to admit it , but I didn't get out to see much of anything outside the NHOA gathering area .

Thanks all that stopped by to chat. I love to see old and make new friends and is why I go honestly. But Im glad to be back home
I'll unload the car today and put the trailer back to storage Wed.

We stopped in Santa Rosa NM on the way home for some cool photos on old RT66

It was good seeing you there Bill and visiting with you in the hotel parking lot, between shuffling our rigs around thanks to the Marriot filling most of their usually ample rig parking area with shipping containers for a big remodeling project they are doing!
I sure hope they will be done with that before next year's show.
My car made it there and back safely despite having to rent an open trailer after finding that my enclosed trailers brakes weren't working. Though I did have to clean Dr Pepper off its front bumper and grill after getting home. A semi full of Dr Pepper had rolled over in Indiana not far from the Illinois border, and after sitting in near gridlock for 45 minutes, I drove through a road wet with Dr Pepper as I passed the towing company crew scooping up pop cans with a bobcat by the rolled over trailer. Even though I crept slowly through the spilled pop, it still sprayed some of it on my car.
That wreck along with chatting with people who would come over to check out my car every time I stopped for gas or at a rest stop added to the travel time home, but all's well that ends well.
I've been every year and this year's ranks first thanks to the combination of sunny weather, car turnout and organization. I'd say Moparty has succeeded in overtaking the Nats as the prime Mopar show in the central US region.
Now I have to find time to edit and organize the 300+ pictures I took and make Flickr albums. I'll share the links of them when I get that done.

Likewise Brad

The primary reason I go to shows is catchup with old, and meet up with new friends
And all Mopar car show is just the bonus ,

We had 36 total real deal hemi cars

I would like to attend again next year, With or without the car will be determined at a later date once the pain of this trip has healed.

There has already been some discussion to have the NHOA gathering again next year. Be it at Moparty or someplace else will be decided at some point in the near future.
