I got about 4 of these in the shop. Get a mouse about every 3 weeks before they get near the cars.

I put them in view so I can " Check the trap line" daily. Load them with peanut butter,

5" x 10" snake sticky pads at every man door. My Deer mice just chuckle as they by pass snap traps.

Peppermint or Spearmint extract mixed with water in a spray bottle. Spray it around entrances, around the vehicles. Place a few drops in a safe container and have it in the car. Smells good and mice hate it. Works great for deterring spiders too.

I put an extra cedar 2x4 piece from a swing set in my car and no mice since.
No idea why it works.

Used up plastic peanut butter jars, put sticky traps inside, have to fold to get in.
Remnants of pb is enough to attract, sticky trap can't be pulled out, when caught toss.

I've only killed one mouse in 47 years in my garage. The next day I got rid of everything on the floor that doesn't have wheels and put everything on shelves. When you get down on the floor and look across my garage, you can see from one corner to the other. All you see is car tires, wheels from toolboxes, floor jacks and my welder. That includes an oversized 4 car attached garage, my biggest, in the country and in the city. They're looking for a place to hide, and live, not visit. I found about 15 or so dead crickets in my garage this year, nowhere to hide and nothing to eat. I blow my garage out once a week. It's easy with virtually nothing on the floor. Car hoods, doors, you name it, I hung it on the walls. Drywall and every garage had a loft hanging from the ceiling attached to the wall that ran the length of the garage. So far, so good.

Dad used Bounce sheets and Irish spring soap bars in his 57 Chev and the mice ate the soap and chewed up the bounce sheets to make their nest

I have been using this smelly stuff in tin foil pie plates in my Charger
Set one under the dash on the floor on each side in the front , one pan in the trunck and one under the hood where the battery sits and the mice stay very far away
Come spring I just dump it back in the bottle till next year

Takes a couple weeks for the true Charger smell to come back in the spring but it is a lot better than mouse pee or dead mouse smell
