It is actually MR 413, look closer.

That means it is a 1959 413 passenger car engine.

I had one way way back. It was put in a 67 GTX that I bought. I thought at first it was a 440 until I looked it over. It was 2 fours inline. Come to find out it was out of the guys uncles older chrysler. Back then that number was a mystery.

That’s making more sense now , the early
Blocks lacked the date casting like the
Later “ B’s”…
And
The Chrysler 300’s Were The Brand Performance Car for the 50’s into the early
60’s …
Upon closer physical inspection it does appear to be MR 413 , The Bottom of the
R is Faint , but it is there . Could very well
Be a “300” motor originally…
Congratulations Sherlock !!
The Games Afoot !
Thanks

What I said above happened back in 77 to 79 so that was a long time ago. When I pulled the motor out a few smarter than me at the time came out to look at it. The one guy said there were certain blocks used on the high performance 413 I believe 380 horse with the 2 - 4's. He said they were from the marine division and had a superior casting. They are rare and far and few between. I had no reason to doubt what they were saying. So take it for what its worth.
