Is it possible to get the clutch only from anyone? I have a Jag clutch behind my Wizard rad but it's not in the shroud enough and a Hayden replacement one is too long. Car cools great while moving but the temps creeps up while idleing for an extended period. Think moving the fan in a bit will help.

I played this game on my Duster a few years ago and found the MP clutch that comes with the fan was perfect length.

Summit / Jegs and even your local autoparts store sell small spacer rings ...they fit between the fanclutch and the waterpump
cheap and fast solution ! They cost about 3-5 USD The JAG Clutch normaly works good. If you want to change the fan clutch also... THe flexalite 5555 is 3.03 " hight so the fan will move a little closer to the radiator

Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in here. I converted over to a clutch fan via parts from Ebay. The fan I got was great but the clutch itself was shot. In doing some research I found it was one of those TRW clutches that they no longer make. Oh joy. Of course, any replacement clutches offered by the usual part stores would not fit! They were too deep and would hit the radiator. After doing some research, I ended up buying a Hayden #2705 clutch. They were used on AMC V8's and the like so I doubt I'll have the usual premature failure that guys who use the Jag clutch seem to end up with. On the 2705, the over all depth of it is 3.11" with a fan seat of 1.53" from the base, with the base being the hub that sits on the water pump pully. Perhaps this will work? I know it worked for me....

Go to: Haydenauto.com Click on the 2013 catalog. Go to page 341-348. All the specifications for all the fan clutches are there. We know the #2765 fits Mopars, so just find one with all the same specs and the length you want. Any parts store can cross reference the Hayden brand to whatever they carry.

The 6 blade Hayden fan which looks identical right to the stickers that flex-a-lite sells as well as bouchillon performance states for standard duty fan clutches only. Not sure what the worry with the heavy duty/severe duty clutch is.

Looking at the Hayden 2705 which is only availble in severe duty or the 2711 which comes in severe or standard and has a height of 2.98" and fan seat of 1.40"

Not sure if I should worry about the clutch style or not...

What adverse effects would I see from putting a severe duty clutch on my fan?

Looking around locally for a 7 blade factory fan right now. With 3/4" clearance running the jag clutch I can afford anything much longer. Does anyone know the pitch of the viscous 5 blade and the stock 7 blade?

Not sure how to measure my hayden fan.

I have the JAG Clutch in Combination with a 7 blade Chevy Fan.... GREAT COMBO 20 minutes with idling engine.... 185 °F not one degree more. The Fan is 18 " in diameter...came from a 701 or 72 Camaro.... Only the installation of the clutch is a little tricky becaue the JAG Clutch is not so wide / hight like the others.... but IT WORKS
