MSD Distributor issue

I sent the same question to MSD to see if they had encountered the issue before and they suggested measuring the hole in the block and the diameter of the distributor. Their suspicion is the distributor was not properly milled. I'll be talking it out this weekend and letting them know. I'll keep you all posted as well. Thank you for all the responses. BTW, the 1970 Coronet seems to be drastically under-represented in aftermarket parts. Other than Classic Industries are there any other reputable sources for parts?
Well I finally got the distributor out and found that there is a small seam from when the block was cast. The seam is razor thin and razor sharp and was grinding into the body of the distributor when I installed it. There was no chance of rotating the distributor in hopes of timing it as this seam cut into it. I couldn't see this as it was very small and in a really awkward spot. I sanded this down and the distributor slid in with no problem and rotates freely now. Totally my fault for not seeing this prior to installation. I guess next time I'll do a little more research prior to jumping to conclusions.
