I didn't see any threads on bicycles. I was wondering how many car guys also collect bicycles. I have a few. I don't really ride these anymore. They kind of are more like decorations. I found the purple and yellow Sears bikes in the trash over 15 years ago. The purple is a "daddy long legs" and has 24 inch wheels. I am the second owner the green Schwinn and have had that for 30 years. I bought that to replace my Grant's Silver Shadow that was stolen. It's all original and kind of matches my 1970 f8 Coronet R/T.

Oh cool. I remember those! Even the vintage BMX stuff has turned to gold. Iwas in a powder coat shop recently and saw moto mags hanging on the wall.

I've got an old western flyer 20 inch gathering rust and black widows in a dark corner of the barn, nothing like the jewels in your collection. Nice stuff! and hard to find in original condition like that.

cool old bikes, thanks for the fond memories, I remember the line of Schwinn's Stingrays the custom paint Lemon Peeler, Orange Krate, Apple Krate, Pea Picker, Cotton Picker etc. IIRC, 5 speed with tall rear Sissy bars & Ramhorn handlebars, cheater slick on the rear, metalflake seat, shoe straps to keep your feet on the peddles, I vaguely remember the later ones having a 20" big fat rear tire/slick & a 16" ??smaller front rim & tire too... Awe yes, my ill spent youth, jumping everything in sight on my bike, & wheelie-ing everywhere, my step dad Bod having to re-weld the frame & forks quite a few times... fond memories

I had a Orange Krate and my brother had a Grey Ghost, I remember that ball busting shifter well. Just about all the kids had them back then.
Nice collection

Best bikes ever the 5spd lemon peeler is my number one Choice. I had a blue Raleigh chopper

Wow. great stuff. This brings back memories. I had the Murray Eliminator 5 speed complete with small front wheel and 5 ft. sissy bar just like the orange crate.

Yup, My nephew had the white one, 5 speed shifter mounted on the nut buster. I had an old single speed stingray, burnt orange IIRC. 20" "cheater slick" on the back and always had a bent rear rim from locked-up-side-ways-slides. Something ya can't do with the hand brakes on the 5 speed. LOL!!

How cool these bikes are. My dad bought my brother and I a Lemmon peeler and orange crate. How pricey back then. I love memories, thanks dad gone but never forgotten.
