Besides Mopars, i also play with GM products. Thought that i´d share little video clip from last season with my ´70 (looking) Camaro, with forced LS engine.

Let´s see later can i get lot more stock suspension Charger to go sideways ;) Promise to try atleast.

Looks sweet. We used to do that back in the 70's on the dirt roads in WV. Now they are all paved. Maybe that's why lol.

That's crazy!

No that's F&#@*$& AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAN DOES THAT LOOK LIKE A BLAST! I slide my Charger often but nothing like that, that's sick. If I actually had somewhere to do that (without going to a track or going to jail) around here I'd build a car for it because it looks way to fun.

X2 what he said!

damn that was awesome! you guys were so damn close, amazing skill just to keep from touching each other. Question: how is this competition set up? Are there judges that determine the winner? very cool.

That looks like a kick in the pants. Several things a drift car needs, just from memory:
An engine with enough power and RPM
A handbrake with a long handle.
A rev limiter
Firm suspension
Increased steering travel for a tighter turning radius.

That was sick man! How long have you been drifting? You sure as hell know how to handle that beast ,I was going to ask and guess your h.p. rating but the video aside it holy cow
800+ hp that's insane what tire setup do you use for this style racing? I auto cross a bit when we have time I got an old decreped 85 trans am 305 350 heads t5 trans and the good old 9 bolt Borg Warner rear I payed $500 for the car 33k for brakes and 2k wheels.
3 k for tires every season then any maintenance the car may need I stuck the big 350 heads on it as a hunch because we needed a little bit more rpm out of our lower gears we try to never leave 2 nd we only use 3rd on a bigger track ,but we ran out of power ban all the time so I slapped the big heads on it and boom longer power ban but top end takes a hit but we only run the short tracks whit this one were building another firebird for the long tracks 350 tpi t56 trans and a 12 bolt but we're held up on funds to pay for the new computer to run the fast system we got for it .I actually bought my wife her first scca car a 2001 Toyota Celica gts I was going to turbo it and let her try her hand in the fwd class it's a lot of fun I've always wanted to try drifting but I'm afraid of smashing the hell out of my cars good luck and let's see some more videos please
And anyone thinking about scca try it it's a blast you can just about run anything as long as it's wider then it is tall ,so say a fiat 500 no it's a few inches to tall ,a fiat 500 arabith yes a 70 charger yes a 4 door sedan yes it don't much matter go rent a car and find a race it's worth it.

What????? Your stuff is really hard to read and understand, pal.

Wow, lot of interest. Thought that should i post it or not, glad that you like. There are few videos more in youtube, search "mikko viitala drifting"
Or in www.facebook.com/autoviitaladrift

I´ve been competiting ten years in this, placed 3rd now in Finnish national main series with my Camaro against all Japanese cars and Bimmers.

Yes, it´s a judge based sport. Judges tell how to drive, driving line on track and how to drive it, then you drive qualification and then top16 or 32 eliminator like in dragracing. There are normally 3 judges, Line, Angle (drifiting angle), and speed. quite hard to explain but look in wiki if interested more.
I´ve built this car like this, that in can also run normal track races with it (supercharger belt removed). Transam style races here aka. Historic races, but haven´t done that now last 2 years.

And no, i´m not going to start drifiting with my ´70 Charger, but need to try at somepoint can i keep it sideways and link few corners. I´ve got some little buildthread here at newhemi swap section. 6.1 Hemi & T56 manual, and bit upgraded suspension
