My first car....NOT a Mopar, so be easy, annual bath day...

I definitely respect the Chevy for keeping it in the family and together all these years. While I’m not a Chevy guy I like it and the story behind it.
My wife’s SRT has been called a Cam.. several times and it’s pink Challenger.

Nothing at all wrong with a first gen camaro.

Totaled my first new car when it was 2 weeks old, about 600 miles on it. OH WELL....It was a 63 Corvair Monza anyway. (My dad was not happy) Paid cash for it about 2300.00 best I remember. He had liability only on it.

Was that not the car Ralph Naders book, 'Unsafe at any Speed" killed. Said the Corvairs were really unstable due to the severe out of balance of the front and rear end.

Totally agree.

I am in this as a hobby not a business. I also enjoy backpacking and biking as a hobby, but I'm not looking to be able to sell my bikes and backpacks for more than I paid for them!

I'm not sure why so many are fixated over what their car is worth and not wanting to put more money in them than they are worth. Buy any new or used car and you will "lose" money. Why worry so much for your classic car? Do what you like and enjoy it!

For all my classic cars, I built them to enjoy them. Yes, they have value, and that is nice, but I don't worry about what they are worth vs. what I spend. I do what I like and what I can afford.
I totally agree, don't ask me about my go fast boats, wave runners and all my new cars I have owned over the years. I have no regrets! I have never taken from my family, only given and everyone has had a great life. Memories are worth a hell of a lot more than my Coronet when I take my last breathe, again, no regrets!

Haha, ok. My very first car was a 1961 olds 88 four door sedan. It was a faded silver, 394 cubic inch, baby moon hubcaps ( who didn't like those?)

My kid crashed his high school car a 65 monza. Fortunately injuries were just some stitches
