After looking for months I finally found a couple pictures of my first car. I have my family looking for more.
1969 C500, Red w/ black interior + buddy seat, 440 + column shift 727.
I had it from '76-'82, the balance of payments was my high school graduation gift from parents in '78.
Pics aren't very good but all I can find for now.

Nice! That would have been a nice one to hold on to for all these years.

I know.
Wiping away tears now...
Still have this to console me!

Oh man...the cars that I let slip away. The cars that got away were sure worth more to hold onto than the women in my life have been.

Very cool for a first car. My dad bought a '65 Barracuda for me. I was a police auction and I think he got it for less than $100. The transmission never worked right. Then I got a '66 Mustang fastback. We totally abused that car. Be nice to have today.

I agree if we only kept the cars when we were younger.

$750 for mine. Yes, no comma, no more zeros.

I wish I could find some of my 68 Charger R/T I had in HS
GG1 black top & guts, class of 77' baby
I bought it in 1974, just turned 15 y/o
from a lady that just got a divorce for $350
she needed the cash & I wanted the car, that's all I had
(I was only making $1.65 an hr)
I knew her & her husband well
they lived just down the street from my mom's place in Antioch
he was a former Contra Costa Co. Sheriff owned it,
he left it there, after he moved out

I found a couple of the old projecter slides of it,
from like, maybe my senior year, late 1976-ish
I was living with my dad in Garden Valley,
it was in a background shot of our horses...
Many years later I tried to have prints made it, it didn't work...

latter years
I owned it for about (IIRC) 12+ or so years
had many different combos in it, even painted it a different color
all the LEO's that live around US
(popular area to live for the local LEO's)
called me 'heartless' because I'd fire it up really early to go to work
or really late coming home from cruising, bench racing or street racing etc.
you can say, it was loud...

The sheriff's kid, his son Guy, would come over my mom's house alot,
when I was working on it...

I sold it to my cousin Joe, he totaled it like 2 weeks later
