In August 2021 I bought my first classic Mopar, a 66 Dodge Charger in what I call Hemi Orange. It has a replacement 440 but with a block code of B, I believe it is year accurate (yes I know 66 Chargers did not come with 440s). It is close to being a running/driving project car. My goal is to make it a driver quality car that drives as good as it sounds. Thanks for reading and for this forum!

Another welcome from NY.

Welcome aboard from Ohio. IMHO, Cragars.

Why does it look like the wheel isn’t centered and do you have a helper spring, air shocks or different shackles on the car? Were the rear springs or rear end replaced at some point?

I voted but consider steel rims as an option.
Dress down instead of up?
Big rims are for Conestoga wagons.
Here's a welcome wagon for perspective.

Welcome aboard Sir, from the middle of the mitten.

Welcome from near Cleveland OH! Had a 66 before my current 71. 383, all power, air, silver with red interior. Identical to the one the old man had but his was a 361 4spd car from Arizona. Wish that was around still! I say 15x8 Magnum 500"s but that's what I have. Or if you wanna be different I have some cop car wheels going on the chopping block...enjoy your 66!

Welcome and wish you the best of luck on the restore process. One thing at a time and you will be driving before long.

Vintage Ansen style slots are the proper wheel.
The rears here are 14" X 9" with Fenton Gyro's and little backspacing.
But you really want 15" wheels I think you cant get a wide rear tire like this anymore.

Beautiful car, one of my all time favorite body styles.
