My Late Brother Will's Chopped Oval Bug

I wonder if Toyota used that GTO as an influence in their 1967 GT?

Could be Photon. A friend had one, of 35 hand made, Yamaha handled the driveline on them.
You, today, have led the horses to drink, spawned Godzilla i think, looks like the 1GZ-FE is a go for the Alpha GT, how appropriate the theme is all Japanese & Godzilla is Japanese. Insofar, it looks as if bell mate & crank/flywheel bolt pattern ate same as the 4.0 v8, so my adaptor kit would also bolt this GZ v12 to my porchuh t-axle, if i wanted to really push an envelope......could do it.....dont think anyone had done a v12 in a bug yet......article You sent said v12 is 10 percent smoother than the fabulously smooth 4.0 v8......the v12 is only about 5" longer than the v8, & narrower, 60 degree block v/s 90.
A beauty w/ the v12 is they are all Japanese domest motors, so 30K miles is top on engines available here.
Also pictured on grainy photo, is a two plate clutch set up that writer of article is using in mating his v12 to a turbo Supra 5 spd, & apparently there is a 3 plate set up that can be had.......so for the Pherrari, this is absolute since its narrower than v8 & the photo illustrates a clean looking v8 install in a Z car.....go remote sump if cross member presents issue, btw, thesr hold 8 litres of oil. Im running on two different late model engines in Texas right now, free shipping, and both are under 5k apiece, mated to 6 spd autos......sure ill come back down & stick to v8 for Bug, but the GTO is definitely getting the v-12.........its just the order of nature that beckons. Thank You Photon!

Nix on the clutch set-up, bbo woulfn,t take upload......nice looking set up, but i can live with a 6 spd auto i think, probably padfle shiftong available. The GTO, when taken to Az DMV, created a constant crowd all day, as wiyh the entirr DMV staff, these people were enamored w ith our dusty old roller, has maybe even caught some automotive press attention already, because of its history.

Gorgeous indeed. The factory built only hard tops, but one was cut up to make a convertible for the James Bond movie 'You Only Live Twice'.

Bladecutter, if you go for the 1GZ-FE V-12 engine, it will be amazing!! I've seen them for sale with over 100,000 kilometers on them and it doesn't matter, they're good for over half a million. A truly smooth engine for a car (the Century) that in Japan is considered as luxurious, better built and less cheesy than a Rolls-Royce. I'm sure that with some custom headers and intake you could make it look quite racy like it belonged in the GTO. It's the variable valve timing that helps with the bottom end torque.

What an intimidating and powerful looking power setup. It looks like it's going a 1000 MPH just sitting there!

As i suspected, the engine that tossed and burned cam belts(belt drives intake cams only), totally blew head gskts, burned the oil etc, bent all the intake valves, but the engine is fine, deck heads & block, heads job, all bearings are slick, 125Kmiles, & see the factory hone lines in the barrel shot, no ridge @ deck of sleeve, cam lobes sharp. Thats Paul's eng He'll byild for whatever. My motor for bug is also 125K mi. Motor, but is run and leak down checked....acfter seeing His with the overheating abuse thrown in,
i think this is a pretty remarkable engine that will be pushing less than half the weight of it's production sedans & the SC 400 Lexus, which Photon i believe told me was 3800 lbs. Inspiration....ill be Happy whan i can get back to work Bug, but the program right now is the big kahuna. Tonight will foretell my future.View attachment 315397IMG_20160324_141306.jpgView attachment 315399IMG_20160321_184538.jpgIMG_20160321_182858.jpgIMG_20160317_172445.jpgIMG_20160321_140734.jpgIMG_20160321_183459.jpgView attachment 315403IMG_20160306_222109.jpgIMG_20160325_172436.jpgIMG_20160325_172551.jpgIMG_20160325_172712.jpgIMG_20160325_172919.jpgView attachment 315412IMG_20160323_215005.jpgIMG_20160324_141306.jpgIMG_20160323_183626.jpgaluminaughty 1.jpg100_2397.jpg100_2391.jpgP1010025.jpgscan0011.jpg

What better to call the Gift of Life than God....why i respect the ground upon which i tread, its ALL a GIFT........& i have Major respect for the Guy that died on the Cross.......like Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid, stood His fukin ground, dint puss out.......that is Worthy **** in my Bible....PEACE on EASTER.....my Mother didn't give in either, nor will i.. bc.......oh, my Late Brother Will, Who built the chopsscan0005.jpg

Not getting to do much to HYDE lately, with the
sculpture thing at a high right now. The Front
shot shows the attitude pretty well, the nose will be a little lower......driveways, speed bumps will be a bitch, have to diagonalate entries.
