Well.. its a start.. was a KC car, then an Ottawa car, now my car. Was a 71 Charger SE, 318 4 speed car, Gunmetal grey (though i have no idea why they painted it primer over the grey?????). Now a 383, 4spd car with superbee-R/T taillights, bulge hood, front and rear spoilers... bench seat w/buddy seat, and drum brakes all around. I have to fix the brakes (not bled correctly), fix the sending unit seal, and get my other bulge hood on there.

the 383 is tired, bearings are worn (low oil pressure, has a HV pump on there), but everything else is just fine and dandy. I wont be doing much to her until we move into our new house.. so I may cruise her every once and a while to knock the cobwebs off.

Looks REAL NICE sitting next to the mini van. LOL

I can say that, because my car always sat next to the family's transportation.

i need to move the van and park the RR in the middle and have the 72 wagon, the 73 RR and the 71 Charger all in one picture

Man I reallylike that car. Is that a grant wheel in it? What is involved in putting one in? some kind of adaptor kit? Mine has a standard wheel now.

Nice fleet of Mopars you have there...I envy you!

Godspeed,
JON

Looks good - Similar to what I want. Front and rear spoilers with bulge hood.

Typically primer hides bondo work -get a magnet and check everything below the belt line.

Where'd you get my wheels? :VB toast:

thanks for the comments.. sorry i stole your wheels andy, when i am done i will return them :D

the grant wheel was in place when i got it.. it is just an adaptor kit and can be found at any autoparts store though.

car looking good, I have a 71 my son and are trying to finish. where do you get the black spoiler / trim on the front bottom. not sure of the parts true name.
Thanks

Great looking car ! Looking forward to see it as your finished project

its an aftermarket piece you can actually find on ebay or by sifting through an aftermarket business in mopar muscle... i am sure i have seen them there.

Nice project.
Don't look like it needs a lot.

It really doesnt, the list:

Paint
Engine
Front suspension
..... thats it lol

The paint obviously, the car is really solid... they painted the engine compartment "chevy black" for some unknown idiotic reason, but hey, easy fix... The 383 is pretty much toast in the bearing department. I will be building a new engine for it. The suspension.. well... drum brakes in the front.. do I need to say more? :D

Thanks! I will be getting hot and heavy on it starting the latter part of January, so stay tuned.

Great car. I too am in the process of getting my 71 SuperBee clone together. It is Plum Crazy with a 383 stroked to 496. A 5 speed TKO with a magnum force front end. 3:91 8 3/4 in the back. I head to the city in the AM for the vinyl top instal & to drop the block off for assemblycan hardly wait. Pict's will come soon.

sounds awesome!!! dude i cant wait to see your pics. you car sounds like it will roast some tires without forsaking driveability... i commend you on your engine/trans choice.

racedodge thats a sweet looking car already, Hope to see it when you "Gitter done" Maybe the primer over gray was after some miner body work and then repaint? Some do it to make sure of a good seal over all if they don't strip it all the way down to metal, ive done it, of course i do like gloss black with the engine bays, depending on what car..this just may not have needed that much to make it ready for some new color! kind of thinking of your first post in hear, i see you said its pretty solid though since then so im guessing you have gone over it since you posted... Nice car, congrats!! Ill stay tuned for any updates.. Good luck with it!

Another mopar rescued from north of the border, congrats!

Thanks. the bumpers are off right now. Had them stripped & they will be color matched. Grill gets a fresh coat of paint to go along with the R/T style tail lights I have for it. It is in the shop for the vinyl right now as well. The stripes will go on after a few touch ups on the paint are done. Factory Rally wheels with new rubber. Frame connectors & super stock springs to go in the back. It is slowly coming together.
