My new stock stroke 400 build

I got the heads off today. Despite the fact that I removed the plugs to drain the block, there was still some coolant that leaked into the cylinders. I cleaned them with brake brake clean and wiped them down with WD40. I'll clean the piston tops better later.

I took a picture of the heads today. I figure this should tell more about the state of tune than reading the plugs. I'm thinking it looks rich overall? You can certainly notice the two rich end cylinders. Keep in mind there are probably less than 1000 miles on this engine .

Well rich is front is odd?
When I took that intake off my 383 the front cylinders were lean particularly on the passenger side.
Is it a Canadian thing to install the intake backwards?

Good question Don. I did port match the intake, and a couple of ports had some core shift. Might also have something to do with the phenolic spacer I run, which was specifically set up for the street demon carb?

Wonder if I should throw the Performer 383 back on? I should see what the exhaust ports on the 361 look like.
