Well here we go.
I just bought myself some work :)
A 1975 Dodge Charger SE who has been sitting in a garage for the last 12 years.
I guess they started on some kind of retauration but gave up.
My plan is to give it a new paintjob fix the rustissues first then give the undercarrige
som tlc as well. When it comes to the engine I have not decided yet. It now has a 318 2barrel, but I am thinking about changing out the intake and put on a 4barrel and a couple of headers and maybe som other heads. Or just run it as it is until I can get my hands on a 400.
Today it started up for the first time in 12 years and it sounds really good. tomorrow I will check the compression in the cylinders and I will se how that looks :)

If you have any suggestions og tips on what wheels and tires that will fit this car I will be happy to hear them.

Nice! Good luck! Parts have got to be hard to come by there for anything US built.

I hope that you are doing this just for yourself and not to turn a profit. AS much as I like those cars, the cost to do a proper rust repair and paint job alone with FAR outpace the value of the car. A car like this, if complete and just worn a bit, may be worth the effort but I see this as a potential money pit.
Again, if money isn't a problem and if you have some sentimental attachment to it, the value does not matter.
Good luck.

Yes I am doing this for myself, i am also doing most of the rust repair and painting myself. There are only 2 1975 Dodge chargers registered in Norway and this is one of them. And I think It is worth keeping

Oh, I do too. I liked those cars.
I meant no insult. Rarity is important, I just wanted to warn you in case you didn't know.

Today I gave her a quick clean and startes her up. She now run for the first time in 12 years. The engine sounds good but there is a bit of the exhaust missing, I guess that would be the rear muffler. Because my neighbours was not to Happy that I made this much noice on a sunday

Today I tried to drive her for the first time in 12 years but that was a short experience, it turns out i have almost no power forwards an more or less no reverse. A little bit at first then nothing. I checked the oil before I drove and it looked clear and red and felt smooth. But I huess I will need to change the filter and oil and then maybe adjust some bands? Any ideas anyone?
