Installed my newly rebuilt motor in my satillite over the christmas holiday week. TTI headers went in a lot easier than I had anticipated except some of those arp bolts are hard to get at. Trany is in just need to hook up the cables and adjust them run the fluid lines to cooler. I also need to install a dust cover on the transmission, hook up the drive shaft and Im done underneath the car untill I do the exhaust system.

very nice keep it up and keep us updated also ,thanks for sharing

Just wrote a nice lenghty reply on the engine build and for some reason or another it didn't post so it will have to wait im not the fastest at typing. yup! press the quick reply and its gone.

Looks great! Bet she sounds better yet! I wouldn't mind seeing or hearing a video myself..

Thanks Rusty,Ron, and everyone for the nice comments I do have a video but, I had difficulty trying to download it in my computer and forgot to bring it back from Maine. I will try again when I get the chance. The older I get seems like I forget things more often.
Yes! it sounds fantastic it dynoed out at 489HP and 537 FT LBS. torq. The machine shop tried a number of combinations carbs used were a 650 and 850 not sure but I know they were not edelbrocks so maybe holleys. The motor did like the 850 better along with the 2.00" headers vs. 1 3/4 headers 18hp increase jumping up to 2.00" headers. I am thinking on getting the holley hp 750 I have Installed a 3000 stall converter I bought from Nick furyus63 nice looking converter with B&M heavy duty flexplate.

Sweet build man! Very similar to the setup I am doing in my 68 roadrunner! I have TTI headers and edelbrock victor heads on a 522 stroker. Not sure what your plan is for your trans cooler, I am in the process of sorting mine out at the moment. I bought a B&M cooler which comes with 6AN fittings. I also got a pair of 6AN transmission fittings to bolt into the 3/8 female threads on the trans. I am planning to run 6AN nylon sheathed lines to the cooler. Only issue I see is getting the line around the headers to the chassis rails without melting them (getting to close t the headers). I will be doing this later in the week so I will take some pics of it when I nut it out if you want.

Only other issue I have had so far is if you are running a Lokar throttle cable you will need to make a few mods to your gas pedal. If you dont mod it you wont get enough throw to completely open your carb (well on mine that was the case). I can take pics of that too if you need them!

Great build man cant wait to hear how it goes!

Jhuelin sure would like to see what you have going on there, money is going to be scarce around here for awhile so not planning on doing to much until after april maybe. I should be able to swing tranny lines, fuel lines, trans dust shield, small price tag stuff for now. I still need a carb, air cleaner, TTI exhaust from headers back although I can use what I have now but its pretty ugly. Also Im pretty sure I will need a hood scoop so with that said Im looking at another $2K or so.

Mate I feel your pain, and then some!! Isn't it amazing how you budget out your build, then find yourself breaking the bank on the small things like AN line and earls fittings!!!

i will get some photos over the weekend once I get started on the trans cooler. AN line isn't cheap but I guess it's worthwhile insurance when you got like 3 grand worth of tranny behind it.

I ran 6AN line for my fuel line too. It was actually a really straight forward exercise. The AN line fits right over your fuel sender barb. I screwed it to the floor with hose loops and self tapping machine screws. Put a couple of 10 micron filters inline. With the sort of donk your running you will need at least 3/8 (6AN) fuel line.

For hood scoop, have you considered one of the fibreglass 6-pack hoods? You can get them for around $500 and should give you lots of clearance.
