Name a car you "kind of" like that the rest of us wouldn't.

Probably my dream Hot Rod if I were to build one. Someday........

Most of these picks ARE cars that the rest of us like, so they don't fulfill the OP intent. Here is my pick:

It's a 1966 American Motors Ambassador. My brother's first car in 1974 was this car (four door sedan) with the 271(?) V8 engine and 3 on the tree manual transmission. He bought it for a whole $100 (man those were the days!). That engine ran so smoothly, that many times you would hit the key to start it only to hear the grinding because the engine was already running! I don't know what kind of gas mileage it got because it wasn't mine, but man did I love how smooth that engine was. A kid in a 73 Camero T-boned it and left only a small dent in the fender and front side bumper. It tore that Camero to pieces! He never got the damage fixed and still drove it for another year until the rear diff locked up.

Not for Everyone, but it sure was for me.....10,000 blissfully exciting, dangerous miles......Handmade is Handmade.....401 Handmade.

While this is a Dodge forum so I'm sure it's not as controversial as some choices, I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the 91/92 Spirit R/T. While I love it, I can completely understand why someone would not.

My 1976 Ford Starsky & Hutch Gran Torino. :)

Lol, that's my next build. I fell in love with muscle cars after my cousin moved back home driving a nasty fat tired 1975 Torino. I loved that car and desperately wanted it but I was young and still in school... fast foward many years and it's sitting outside my garage waiting it's turn. Got big plans for it.

1970-thru-72 buick skylark / same as Gsx body.
ive been looking for a good body to build for 2 years now....
i have the motor/trans/rear combo waiting...

any of the later Amc-s,hornets,pacers,eagles,and so forth.

i miss my screaming chicken,
i saw someone posted a pic earlier in topic.
the yellow ford Capri, that car was sooooo different,
140 speedo and the smallest offset v6 you ever saw.
fun lil car.

polaras,
my older brother taught me how-to drive in a 69 polara 383 car,
and that pretty much set me in mopars for life.
id love another polara.

none of these are very collectible,
and yet they always come back to mind over the years.
i really would like to do the buick at least.

I had a 76 Capri with the 2.8 V-6.
A hole shot car, did well off road in the desert too. Cam & crank were gear to gear,, gear sets were nylon fiber to for noise....cam gear shattered on me,,,,replaced with a steel set.....then it sounded like it had a super charger. Car cost me 600 bux in 1985. I had so many fun cars for under a grand.

Always liked the Citroen 2cv, but a gasser version takes it over the top.

Datsun 620, any year regular cab short bed. I had a '79 briefly and had a blast. Would do it again if I had $ and space.
