Ok for early hemis. Later ones might blow them up.
 
The 4 speed trans (a833) didn’t come out till 64 iirc.
 
You do recall correctly!
I meant early 426 nascar race hemis... Like 64-65.
Later ones put out more HP, close to 600 HP and 600 # of torque by 1970.
(before restrictor plates, which started in August 1970.)
