Need a CNC Lathe. Need a CNC Lathe. Ok - WANT a CNC Lathe so.......

So, is it conversational or G-code or???? What are you going to use it for?

Its conversational and G Code, but I have Solidworks/Camworks and will get a post processor for it. Already started the process.

What am I gonna use it for? No earthly idea. Whatever comes up. As I said, its a want not a need. But my old trusty South Bend is deathly slow at 945 rpm and this one will compliment it well with the 4000 rpm spindle. I'm keeping both.

I was shocked at the 31k price tag for what it is! We had a Clausing Metosa 1540VS in our shop and we did
alot of large studs and threading with it. At first look it looked like a toy, but it was really fun to run. Hope you have fun with it!

Thanks! I think it is really what I was looking for. Its not going to compete with the high end names but it should do fine for what I would like to do. I have lived with the pros and cons of the Atrump mill I have so I think I know what I am getting into. Surprisingly the price has only gone up about 10 percent in the last 10 years best I can tell.
