Well I certainly blew that somehow!! This picture Above I took off the web for reference, but could anyone tell me what the gap should be between the stirpe on the sail panel and the roof stripe? We screwed one up and I had another one made, but the guy made it way too long Thanks in advance. Terry

Is this what you are talking about? Keep in mind the factory didn't get the stripes perfect, there are some subtle difference on the measurements from side to side. In the link above, there are some more references to measuremnts that I help another member out with when he did his car, and I took full measurements when I did my car so I would know where things went when I had it striped after painting.

FYI, I used a kit from Phoenix Graphix, they are a sponsor on here.

Thanks for getting back to be but no, that is not the one I am after. The one I want looks like about 1 3/4? inch gap above the one that has the roadrunner on it, and the over the roof stripe.I will post a better picture. Thanks

So that's a pretty good guess and very close, I measured 1 5/8 inch on the gap to where the strobe starts. It looks like you are doing solid across the top?
Here is my picture.

Yup, solid across the top and that really helps. My car is a satellite and of course all you can get is the stripe with the roadrunner so I am having the curve made with nothing on it and make a decal of the roadrunner getting eaten by Willie or squished falling satellite etc. Suggestions appreciated!! lol. Lots of time to think about it, but that is indeed the measurement I needed. Thanks a bunch!! Terry

Hey Terry.

Nice looking car.

Any more pics anywhere?

I'd guess 71/72 wheel moldings might be close, but I'd verify.

Well right now it is a work in progress but it is getting there! I just wish stuff was not so expensive for these darn Mopars! And that is if you can find it! Big block steering pump will not fit big block, big block 727 will not fit small block 727. Power steering column and manual steering columns must be changed or used an adaptor! I was losing my hair when I bought it 6 months ago. I am completely bald now!! lol. I always liked this body style as well as the 66 Satellite and Coronet .

I have been looking at something to put where the roadrunner went to break that stripe a bit and I think I have narrowed it down to one of these.

I like the last one you posted for some reason.

How about having a vinyl sticker made of the Satellite script, like what is on your passenger side dash and putting that on the spot? Or do you have stripes that already say roadrunner there?

LOL. That too

I have a Marvin theme going on mine.

Fits the Warner bros cartoon theme and the "space" theme.

Hope this helps...

I have a slight variation from right to left side. Approx 1-3/8"

No I am going to keep all the badging satellite. That is why I had the corner stripes remade in plain black . Seems lots of folks want to badge them as roadrunners so I want to stay satellite

The info here on FBBO is priceless. I love this place.
