SOLD Need a pair of 5 1/2"- 6" hard wheels with bearings

Since we don't have a wanted section for the 'other stuff' forum....I need a pair of deck wheels for my old Gravely garden tractor. The wheels are just over 1 1/2" tread width and have a 1/4" offset but the offset really doesn't matter much as I can make a spacer if need be. The bore of the bearings need to be 3/8". Jacks small engines which has been a pretty good supplier for me over the years for this old thing has them for for neally 40 bucks each but is more than I care to pay. Anyone?

Try Harbor Freight. They have a slew of hand truck tires that look just like that for dirt cheap. I bought some steel rim style with bearings a while back for a recalled Harper handtruck that had the recall plastic rims. I've not had to air them up in two years. HTH, Lefty71

Wheels off a dumpster? I built some engine cradles with wheels so I could move them around in the shop. I went to refuse company and they had dumpsters on their way to the scrap metal yard. They are semi-pneumatic, tough as hell, and and roll fairly well over gravel. I paid $5 per dumpster (4) and removed them myself.

There is an old Western Auto in Conroe, they have a bunch of new wheels and their shop used to be full of old parts mowers. The owner can fund just about anything...

Forgot about a supply house not far down the road and couldn't remember the name but a buddy remembered. Just got back with pair of heavy duty wheels with roller bearings in them. 12 bucks for both. Beat HF to death lol. And the chart in the link I posted shows them to be nearly 8" in diameter.....well, the old wheels on mine are barely over 5" and I know I didn't drag that much rubber off of them. The deck all the up doesn't cut all that good so I can imagine what an 8" wheel would do but with it all the way down it scalps with the 5's. Can't believe Gravely replacements are 38 bucks each and Ebay wasn't much better. And thanks for the replies and it's time to install them now. Glad there's a good breeze today as it's 93 already.

Good that you found some locally. If they don't work for you they can be taken back. Don't forget to mark this thread sold or terzmo will be all over you like a cheap suit. LOL
