Just bought a 71 Satellite Sebring Plus. Not sure of the following codes: 2nd row up GF3 P5X9 TX9 408 146799
3rd row up V4W U, Top line V6X 26. There was no code for the rear axle, any idea what was standard for it. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. Couldn't find the GF3, think that's the exterior paint color. TX9, think that's the interior color, and the 26 is for 26" radiator? The 408 146799 no idea.
Correct on three guesses.. 408. is the scheduled production date.. April 8th. 146799 is the VON...

It would be helpful to see the whole tag, but I'll do my best guesses: GF3 is light green paint, P5 is the interior type (I don't know off the top of my head), TX9 black interior color, 26 is the radiator width, 408 is the build date, 146799 is the sequence #, V4W and V6X are white (W) and black (X) pinstripes and vinyl top, and U is made in USA.

There would be no axle code on the fender tag. It is only on the build sheet. The car could come with an 8-1/4 or 8-3/4 assuming it is a 318 or 383-2bbl car.
