Need help decoding VIN

Friend just picked up this car and wants to know how it came originally . I am not well versed in early tags .

Supposed to be a 64 Polara.

The two hidden digits in the VIN would be 64. Polara 500. The 4 that you can see is the model year, 1964. 2 is Hamtramck assembly plant. The rest is a sequential number. 383-2bbl. with auto trans. Black bucket seat interior. White paint.AM radio.Back up lights and windsheild washer. Left side remote mirror. 70 amp battery. Sold car.

I forgot to mention, it has a scheduled production date of Nov. 8 1963, and it is a two door hardtop, which would be obvious if you were looking at The car.

I have not seen a pic of the car but when I went to decode it …it showed as a 63 . Thats what threw me .

A bit hard to read.1216 is the scheduled production date Dec. 16. 1944 is the rest of the shipping order number. 542 is polara 500 2dr. Ht, with a V/8. 851 is vinyl bucket seats in blue or blue and beige(not sure). DD1 is medium blue roof and body colour. U is shell beige upper door frame paint. I need to know the fourth digit of your VIN to go further and even then I might not be able to.

First 2 is three speed auto. Second 2 don't know. 5 is heater with defroster. 8 is windshield washer. There is no engine code, so it would have the standard engine for the model which in this case would be a 318 poly.
