Need help with 69 Charger Instrument cluster problem.

Turns out I was able to install the 5 prong circuit board connector backwards. That's what caused the short.

Dash reiinstalled and everything works now.

I'd still buy a electronic IVR.......it will protect the circuit board and your gauges.

Fuse should have opened before damage. Check for proper amperage fuses in the block.

Yes, I did order from the link you posted. Will have to put it in the next time I have the dash apart.
