Iam putting new 727 in my 69 runner I need to know if I need a balanced convertor or none balanced. I know it depends on what crank is in the motor is there a easy way to tell by looking at the front or rear of crank thanks steve

If your runner has an early motor you need a converter with NO weight on it. If you have a later motor with a cast crank you need a weighted converter. You will know immediately when you start it if you have the right combination. It will shake violently at about 2000 rpm if mismatched, like a bad skip. Cast crank weight, steel crank, no weight. B&M racing offers flexplates to help with this problem if you have a mismatch/year problem.

Does this work?
