My son in law met my daughter in a bar. They have been married for 15 years. In the words of a psychiatrist my wife and I used to consult, the relationship works because he's a masochist with rescue fantasies.

Interesting persona; dated a gal in HS who was a sadist. Had my suspicious chatting with her; but you know how some just put on an act. Found out on a date going to an outdoor movie once we were situated in the backseat with some of our clothing removed. I had some marks that took a couple weeks to go away..

Man, I hate to hear about this. What a bizarre thing. I've seen no accusations of marital infidelity on his part. There's no logic here that I can fathom. She's got three kids and is not much to look at, and it's unlikely she'll be getting in on his future earnings. Maybe 50/50 of the little they had when they were together. Like, she can get 13 feet of that 27 foot long camper trailer they were living in. Doesn't make any sense. Should of rode it out with him for a few more years anyway. Well, I guess he got off easy considering this is how she was.
