Trailer Thoughts and Advice...

Looking to buy a 34' car hauler (2 car enclosed) ... It would be carrying a 65 Coronet and an 1988 LeBaron convertible. I am still contemplating on how I would tie them down get around them etc. The idea is that my son would pull the cars and I would pull the travel trailer. Or..... Should I get 2 smaller trailers and let the wife pull one????? Such decisions. This is just to go to shows and race every now and then not a race car trailer.

Usually the trailers have a side door that allows for side access to secure the tie-downs with a ratcheting cargo strap type mechanism.
Is that my understanding of what you are asking?

Your Coronet has to be at least 16 ft.
Am I correct?

Okay, 1966 Coronet= 210 inches/17ft long.

And the lebaron is 15'.. I know it will be tight. Wondering if d ring or e-rails..... pretty much if it is a good idea or not.

I don't think it will work
Your looking at 15 ft.plus 17 ft.
That is 32 ft.
You need a space between the cars.

And the inside of the trailer on a 34 ft is perhaps 33 ft.
Needs further research....
Perhaps a 36 ft trailer?

Your going to need more than 34ft. I'd be looking for a 45ft goose neck. Better have a diesel or own a fuel station. Also a rig the big is heavy. I pull a 32ft tri-axle tag with my 3500 Cummins dually, slide-in camper, 64 Plymouth, tools, generator. Right around 18,000lbs. It pulls ok but you better leave plenty of room to stop.

My son has an 08 Cummins dually, just thought maybe we could get them both in a 34 footer....
