Need to ship a hood from Detroit to OKC, any ideas?

What is the best/cheapest way to ship a hood? Any truckers here that might be going that way? To big for Greyhound freight.

I had a hood shipped from Texas to detroit by Foward air freight plane company.No pallet just wrapped.It costed me $100.00 that was back in 2007.I had to pick it up at the airport.

No pallet, and no damage?? I have heard some horror stories. In fact I have some freinds that won't even ship hoods any more because they always end up with some sort of damage. I have no problem building a pallet for it, locking it down, plywood sides and a lid to protect it, but at that point it is basically 5'X5' by 10" and will wiegh about 125 lbs.

I brought it from dr.mopar no damage it was shrink wrapped.62 dart hood among other parts

Give one of the fiberglass hood companies a call and see who they use and how they package theirs for safe arrival.
