if that fender is all good steel and no putty in it, it can be salvaged and maybe cheaper than another one. from what i can see from that pic. it will have to come off though for final finishing.

Agree, very fixable. The days of a simple replacement for any any dent repair are over.

I have to agree with the others. It will be hard to find a nice rust free fender now days. If you can find one it will likely have "Free Rust" included.

like most have said if that fender is a goog solid fender that hasn`t been mudded up it can be repaired it just takes a good metal man to repair it ,and it can be repaired ,dont have someone drill all those holes in it and then mud it up, it just takes time I hate it when we would get a customers car in to redo and it was mud so deep and from top to bottom ,front to rear and there was no need for it, goog luck

I agree a good bodyman ( old school ) should be able to fix it, and I would guess that the neighbors insurance or them would pay for it. If he feels that he wants a new fender then look out west craigslist and others to find one. Where I live there are a few classic junkyards that have these items, but they are not cheap.

just curious on this but, where did this situation end up? i think i know where there is a fender but it won't be cheap plus s&h.
inquiring minds want to know.

Check with this guy at http://www.musclecarcreations.net/ his name is Jeremy and has a lot of parts and I'm sure he has what you need.

His phone number is on the page at the bottom and I think there is a for sale section but not all of the parts or parts cars he has are listed.

Let me know and I can contact him direct as well. I talk with them him daily. Good and honest guy to deal with.

Also if you need it fixed he can do that with no problem at all and send back to you. Give him a shout and tell him that Kevin sent you. He is a great guy and really good with metal.
