Well after obsessing for a while I pulled the trigger for new heads and headers
Heads were Edelbrock RPM Heads with 75cc chambers but this is about the exhaust
I went with the Doug's D452s and I have to say they fit like a glove. Plenty of clearance everywhere and yes they fit heads with angled Plugs. had to reroute the plug wires though
I also went with Summit Electric cutouts.
I went to the muffler shop expecting 3 inch exhaust but my muffler guy talked me into 2.5
as they would fit along the tank much better He also argued for the new Flowmaster FlowFX mufflers. I relented reasoning that I could always open the header cutouts if I needed too.
Previously I had Flowmaster dual chamber 40s on the car and they were noisy especially at speed.
Well I can't say enough about how I love this new exhaust
It's quiet unless I've got my foot full on it. you can carry on a conversation or listen to the radio now. My guy is very good at what he does and I was impressed watching him. He never once pried on the car or forced a pipe to move. I enjoyed just watching him

I went with Doug's and Flowmasters on my Coronet too. Love the fit of Doug's and sound of the FMs.
