New Here: Big Block '65 Coronet 2 dr

Welcome from CT. Nice car to start with. Bought one needing body work and I don't do it Mistake. Did engine change. Body work UGH.View attachment 1420647View attachment 1420648View attachment 1420648View attachment 1420651View attachment 1420652

Hey Fran!

I didn't want to get into any body work which is why I needed something with zero rust. I don't have the time or the knowledge to get it done without spending a bunch of money to get it done. Undercarriage and engine bay looks great. Great winter project.

How long have you owned it for?

It's been stalled 20 years. Work on other car unhappy the way engine runs, two knee replacements, dislocated ankle, now bone on bone and LASINESS!

Looks to be a good start to a decent build

Welcome to FBBO from quite a bit North & East of you

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Nowhere close to you; in Canada. Nice solid '65 Coronet project.

Welcome from the central coast and a fellow 65 owner. I got my car out of La Habra. The friend who used to own it prior to the po I got it from, lived in Whittier for many years. They did the cover shot for the tech book, my avatar, behind some restaurant in Whittier back in the 80's. It's in many pieces now. Looks like you have a great car project to start with. If you can swing it, check out the LATSLV [Muscle Cars At The Strip Las Vegas] next month and the west coast biggie the Spring Fling at Woodley Park in Van Nuys mid April.

Hey! Thanks for the greet. I am going to try and get it finished by spring fling! It's only 20 minutes from me so should be an easy drive.

Rad Fury! Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome from Alabama, looks like you are well into a great project.

Very cheap but looks so far like some solid work they're doing. Do you have any pictures of your seats?

I found the original material and bought the foam then found a lady who copied the patterns, hand sewn everything just like factory. All in all it became quite expensive but worth it in the end.

I've seen the south of the border upholstery people on several TV shows in the past and they really take pride in their work. Mostly family businesses where the trade is passed down. Yours looks great

These are my '62 Dodge...
