Thanks for the add, I bought my 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 in about 1997. Was my daily driver until about 2001. It is a factory 383/auto 2 door coupe. triple green. (F8) with A/C, Pwr/steering and to keep things interesting.......manual drum brakes (who said Mother Mopar doesn't have a sense of humor??). I bought it off a guy who bought it at a police impound auction. The ignition harness had been cut and hotwired three times and I found some Bail bonds slips in the glove box from a previous owner...... image1 - Copy.jpg

Welcome to the site. What part of CA? Looks like a good solid project and I like the slot mags!

Southern California, Los Angeles area, I bought the car in Utah years ago but it doesn't have the Utah rust, someone brought it to Utah in 1984 from someplace dry?? Needs a trunk floor (but don't they all??). Been a Mopar fan my whole life. Mainly owned A-body's, But always wanted a B-body. I think I paid like $800.00 for it because it was sitting in a lake of AFT (love the 727 but they mark their spot) runs great!

Jail Break is a good one! My friends at work used to call it "The Green Monster". I call it "The God Bless Express" Picture, big hills......Dodge.....little brakes.

Welcome aboard...good background story. :hello2:

Thanks, Southern California, Los Angeles area. The magnesium slots came with it, I think they are perfect for the car.

I'm in Nor Cal but so far have managed to attend the Spring Fling event in Woodley Park every year. Magnesium???? I'm thinking aluminum unless you are certain they are mag.

Hey SoCal another SoCal here! Live in the O.C. Like you're sweet ride. Looks like you have a little to do if you choose - still a nice car if you don't. Have a 68 GTX on this end. Just coming off a restoration. Have had the car since I was 18. It's all about what's you love brother. Looking forward to hearing about progress.

in South O.C. In the event you wanted to hook up. Would love to.

Your right they are Aluminum I'm sure, Lol I've been calling those old Slots "Mag" rims since I was a kid I guess its just in my psyche. Can't wait for that car show. I'm finally getting serious with the old Coronet, she has some rust in the trunk and I maybe into it for a lower back panel behind the bumper but the floors are solid., the quarters aren't bad either as far as rust goes I could fix it with patch panels behind the wheels The drop downs are pretty good also, silver dollar size rust holes. However the drivers side quarter is hit and will need either replacement or a good metal man (I can hold my own in this category, however I would need hydraulics and heat to get this fixed) Have a front bumper, valence, grill, fender for it already. I'm going to restore it back to what it might have looked like in 1972ish, Gauges, Tac, slots, etc. Just a green Coronet 440, So that's the plan anyhow. Lol, Yes I'm in North LA Co. I surf Zuma beach and Rincon, how about the O.C.?
