A 4 door is a great choice, as it will be much more reasonable to buy. I suggest, however, that you look for one in pretty decent shape. The cost difference won't be all that great, but the cost to fix up one in need of a lot of TLC will cost a lot - especially bodywork since many parts will not interchange easily.
