New (?) PayPal fee for Goods/Services

I have been asking for 3.6% when the buyer elects to pay via Goods/Services and I've been spot on - until today. This was the first transaction in 2026 and, based on what PayPal took out, their new 'lack of service fee' has jumped to 4.5%. I'm sure they sent notice but I must have just missed it. Just a heads-up to anyone else that may not be aware.

Plus they’ve been anti gun for quite a while now, so I try to use their service as little as possible.

If you use a credit card to send F&F by credit card they charge a fee. Bank account or PP account funds, no fee. That’s been that way since I can recall.

Maybe there is no way for the system to distinguish since it’s run by Mastercard. There should be if there isn’t because there is no reason to charge the same fee as a credit card.

Possibly so. I know that at one time they were all under the same parent company when they got away from gun items, and other “ distasteful” items. Ie. certain WWII memorabilia, Nazi flags, that sort of stuff.

Just an example RR, but at the moment I’m fresh out of Nazi stuff, which has led me to be quite unpopular with the local Arian brotherhood sharing my cell block. Lol!
