g'day from Australia
I almost bought a 67 gs 340 about 25 years ago. Had that space ship looking air cleaner. I see it every now and than around here. While I still had my first Mopar- 66 Coronet, I also had a 72 skylark, and my mom had a 71 lesabre. It was a clean car, but not as fun or comfortable (despite puffier seats) as my Coronets. A kid down the street had a 70 skylark and was building a gsx clone (back in the mid 80's)
Nice, yeah you can see this was a non-GS without the cleaner. They were still all really optioned out though. PS, PB, AC, PW F/R, Rear defroster, Radio. I really wanted one of those "Star Wars" air cleaners hah. Spent some time looking for one but couldn't justify the $800+ they seem to be going for now. I wanted to take out the high beams and run snorkels into the inlets on it to do a vintage drag thing.
David, welcome too the roundtable and let me echo the Thanks for posting pics of your Coronet so soon outta the gate.. Looks like you found a keeper.
