    Hello all,

My name is David and I recently acquired a 67 440 Coronet. I ended up trading my very original 67 Skylark with a 340 for it. I have been very happy with it so far, especially since it is my first Chrysler product. I've worked on many GM A-bodies and all different years of modern Mustangs. But I feel like I may be a B body Mopar guy at heart just with how this car makes me feel.

It is extremely original and the guy I traded had all three broadcast sheets as well as every part that came off the car to get it running. It was sitting for many years in a small barn. The barn had to be torn down around the car to get it out. There are even service records in the glove box where it had 140k miles by 1973. This car was definitely used, but well taken care of.

Along with the broadcast sheets, the latest owner included all of the photos of the car getting yanked out, the service manual, and many interesting vintage items from the time period from the original owner.

It is a 318 2bbl with a 904 and a 741 case 8 3/4. I'm not sure of the rear end ratio yet, but it seems to move it around ok for a cruiser. It even has the original LH lugs on the left side (which really threw me off) and the original spare and jack/etc.

I'd like to give it a big block and a 727 with a 742 case and steeper gearset eventually. Right now I've got body and suspension stuff on order to get the butt back up in the air and running right. Also have a new leak at the gear selector that has been bleeding on my garage floor, so have that gasket on order too. But I'm very excited to work on this car and already love driving it and having it around. From a long time GM, Mustang, Toyota guy, Dodge may have a convert!

Welcome aboard from NJ. I hope you meld with the car and you become inseparable, as one! There is something in the genetic make up of a Mopar that is some kind of magic. It's like the force............may it always be with you!

Here are some pics of the Buick. It was an awesome and very original car as well. Never a problem with it. It was a little TOO good hah, I was feeling guilty about potentially ripping it apart for a 455 and all new driveline.

Thabks for the welcomes all! I'll be getting better pictures soon, the cleaner ones are from the day I got it home. I've done some more cleaning since then. Hopefully drums, shoes, and tranny gaskets will be here over the next few days so I can take her out again.

                                Welcome David!

How did anyone know that car was there with all that trash piled on it? Looks like it's in decent shape.

I see you have a battery hooked up. Make sure you do a good inspection on all of the wiring, especially under the dash. One little mouse can play havoc and you don't want a short. Do you have it running?

My mom had a '67 Skylark with the 340 4bbl. We had to take it out and blow the carbon out of it for her. That car would scoot!

All the stuff piled on it was actually from the barn that had to be torn down around it. The gentleman that put it in the barn passed away and the new owners of the property found it stuffed in there. Then a bunch of DMV hassle, the title was finally able to go to the guy I got it from.

Oh it's been put into running shape by the previous guys. New gas tank, water pump, carb, brakes, distributor, and odds and ends. It's in such good original shape, everything on the dash works, even a vintage vacuum gauge. Only thing not working is the radio, but not surprised. This did have a rear speaker option which will be fun to mess with though. More things work on this than the Buick hah, it just wanted to be driven!
