So i bought my 63 Polara and am fixing things up. It was pretty rough. The previous owner said that he had the 76 440 rebuilt with new pistons, but he did'nt remember any cam or piston specs. It's in the shop right now getting a bunch of safety and reliability work done. The shop called me with the cranking pressure readings and they were right at 175 across the board. Is there any way to determine if they changed the heads on it without removing the intake? I'm pretty happy with those numbers but without knowing whats inside it's hard to pick the chamber size on some new heads or the cam. The present cam sounds pretty mild. I would love some input.
