69redrunner nice 4spd BB RR, I love them, I'm on #12 of the 68-70's, welcome to the FBBO forum...

Looks like a nice car.

I know many people don't like to reveal what they paid for a car but it may help out some people that have a car for sale or those that are looking to buy.

It really makes no difference what you paid now or when you sell it because they are always worth what they sell for at any given time and what you paid in the past has nothing to do with what it is worth.

Lets just say I got it for between 15K and 20K. I had it appraised before I bought it, and the appraisal came in at 20K. The only thing holding it back is a poor quality respray. At some point the engine bay was also painted black, should be body color.
Plan is to drive and enjoy now...paint when funds are available.

The car sure does get alot of looks and thumbs ups as it now !!

Thanks to all for warm welcome.

welcome and nice rr. whats under the hood/
im partial to rr's

The 383 is long gone. It's got a 440 in it now. I was trying to figure out what year the motor is and what it might be out of, but the machined stamp area near the distributor is blank..no stampings at all.

Anybody got any thoughts or suggestions??

LOOK on the side of the block behind the starter, you'll have casting date there.
also on passenger side oil pan frame rail theres a sequence of numbers and a letter. that will tell you alot also.
